Questions & answers

The stuff people usually ask.

Straight answers about the plant, the name, and how to be part of it. Can’t find yours? Just ask — Matt reads every note.

The basics

Is ’Sup the name of the church?

No — ’Sup is just the name of this website, the bridge between now and launch. The church itself will get its own name closer to when we open our doors in 2027. Get on the list and you’ll be among the first to hear it.

So what does “’Sup” mean?

It started as a neighborhood newsletter — short for “What’s up, Fuquay?” It stuck, because that’s the heart of it: showing up, being real, and checking in on the people around us.

Who’s behind this?

Matt Curtis, a pastor who’s served the Fuquay-Varina community for years, now planting a church in partnership with a local host church. The About page has the fuller story.

The church & launch

Can I visit the church right now?

Not yet — we launch in 2027. This next year is a residency: preparing, building relationships, and laying the groundwork. Get on the list and you’ll be the first to know when and where we gather.

Where will the church meet?

Right here in Fuquay-Varina. We’re still finalizing the location, and it’ll be one of the first things we announce as launch gets closer.

What will the church be like?

Honest, relational, and simple. Rooted in Scripture, built on real relationships, and focused on making a Christian life easier to live — not harder. No hype, no pretense.

What does the residency year involve?

A year of preparation under a host church — learning, planning, and getting to know the community — before the plant officially launches. It’s why we’re not rushing things.

Getting involved

How can I be involved before launch?

Pray, share it with a friend, and stay on the list. Want to serve directly? The Volunteer page lists where hands are needed right now. If you feel led to help financially, the Give page walks through how — every gift goes straight toward launching in 2027.

How do I stay updated?

Email is the best way. Get on the list and you’ll hear where things are headed and how to be part of it, first and straight from Matt. The Updates page has the latest notes too.

Can I invite someone else?

Please do. Word of mouth is everything for a new church — point anyone in the Triangle who might be interested to this site.

Giving

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Giving is secure and tax-deductible, and every gift — one-time or monthly — is stewarded prayerfully and reported openly.

Where does my money go?

Directly toward launching the church: groundwork and space, reaching the region, supporting the residency, and being ready to care for people from day one. The Give page breaks it down.

Can I give monthly?

Absolutely — monthly giving helps most, since it lets us plan ahead. You can set that up on the Give page, and change or cancel any time.

Didn’t find your answer?

Get on the list and reach out any time. The clearest way to keep up is straight from Matt’s inbox to yours.
